Power Pilates Classes (Intermediate)  

​

SUITABLE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE OR ENTHUSIASTIC BEGINNERS

​

A challenging pilates class for those who have experience of attending Pilates classes. You will build on the foundations of good practice in this mat based class - this intermediate class will further improve your stability, strength, coordination and mobility. The use of small equipment will be included in these pilates classes.

Pilates Classes

SUITABLE FROM BEGINNERS LEVEL TO EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONERS

A mixed ability pilates class suitable for beginners and the more experienced alike. The focus of each class will be to improve stability, strength, mobility, balance and overall well-being in a calm relaxed environment. The practice of Pilates has grown hugely in popularity, it is enjoyed by all ages and abilities from elite athletes to specialist populations such as those affected by neurological conditions. Pilates can be very beneficial for injury prevention and rehabilitation, it is a low impact movement class taught in a way that is accessible, safe and highly effective. This is a mat based pilates class where you will practice functional floor and standing movements, the use of small equipment may be incorporated into certain pilates classes.

Pilates Backcare Classes

​

SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

​

This specialist pilates class is designed for individuals recovering from both recent and long standing spinal and joint issues and injuries, those recovering from surgery and other various health conditions that may affect your ability to move freely. a gentle, safe and effective way to reduce symptoms and improve your overall sense of well being using functional movements.

 

Please be aware that you must check with your healthcare professional that you are able to attend these sessions, we will work closely where necessary with them to ensure that the sessions are appropriate. In some cases we may advise a one to one session before attending one of our group pilates classes.

Healthy Pregnancy and Relaxation Class

 
SUITABLE FOR ALL, FROM 12 WEEKS ONWARDS

​

A pre-bookable course suitable from 12 weeks onwards (though you must seek advice from your midwife or GP if you have any underlying conditions prior to attending the class). The classes are designed to prepare your body for the changes experienced during pregnancy, birth and in the post natal period. The exercises incorporated into each class are designed to strengthen your body - particularly your abdominals, glutes, pelvic floor and lower back. You will be encouraged to practice gentle appropriate mobility throughout whilst connecting with your changing body, bringing relief from some of the common conditions of pregnancy such as backache, pelvic pain, and insomnia. At the end of each class you will be guided through a beautiful relaxation (with the option of a meditation) this is an opportunity for you to switch off from everything in a safe and calm environment.

During the course of classes you will learn about breath awareness, deep relaxation and meditation. The breath awareness and relaxation techniques are particularly beneficial for the health and well being of both mum and baby, these skills can encourage a calmer, confident and empowering birth experience. 

​

These classes are a wonderful way for you to meet to connect with other expectant mums and from the local area.

Beginners Vinyasa Flow

 
SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

Simply put, Vinyasa means breath with movement. In this beginners course, you will be guided through breath and movement exercises, learning Sun Salutations and transitions into postures along with strength and mobility work. A strong yet nourishing flow will be practiced each week, at a pace suitable for all levels. This course is perfect for those new to the practice or those who wish to strengthen and improve their current practice.

Yoga Flow & Gentle Flow

 
SUITABLE FOR THOSE WITH EXPERIENCED OR ENTHUSIASTIC BEGINNERS

Our flow classes will challenge your strength, balance and stability! As the name suggests you will flow from posture to posture, following a beautiful creative sequence incorporating breath awareness.

For individuals who enjoy the experience of a flow class but prefer to more mellow approach we have the Gentle Flow classes, learn how to move with steadiness and ease exploring the connection between movement and breath. A nourishing calm practice led by our wonderful teachers.

Therapeutic Yoga for Stress and Burnout

SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

 

This course is suitable for beginners and beneficial for all with joint issues or muscular imbalances, sleep issues and stress. This class is designed to benefit people who need or choose to adopt a more therapeutic approach to Yoga to counteract the stresses of modern life.

Therapeutic Yoga does not emphasise adopting and perfecting a particular shape with your body therefore you do not have to be fit or flexible to attend this class.

Hatha Yoga

SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

Hatha yoga is a traditional approach to yoga connecting the mind, body and soul using breath & movement. Hatha yoga provides you as a student with the right tools and knowledge to be able to navigate your own body, to build trust with what you are experiencing and to incorporate Yoga into your everyday life. The elements of Pranayama, Asana, Mudra, Namaskar and Meditation are incorporated into each class. Research shows that Hatha Yoga helps to relieve stress, support healthy habits, eases back pain, balances hormones, great for stability and mobility of the joints and calms the mind.

Wise Woman Yoga

THIS IS A WOMEN'S ONLY CLASS SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS FROM ABSOLUTE BEGINNER TO ADVANCED

​

Join us for a mindful hour of Hatha Yoga. No set routine, each week a different class lovingly designed by our amazing teacher to help you free up any tension in the body, the class is rounded off with a nourishing relaxation to get you through the week.

Kids Yoga

 

SUITABLE FOR AGES 5 - 11 YRS

​

This pre-bookable course is a fun way for your child to practice yoga through a series of postures and breath awareness using various activities and storytelling. The children will be encouraged to notice how they feel physically and learn ways to stay calm, centred and comfortable even in tricky situations. When children practice Yoga they are encouraged to make choices, to express themselves and set intentions and notice how their bodies and minds respond to these things, the skills they learn as part of their Yoga practice can be transferred off the mat to their everyday lives. At the end of the class a brief relaxation and meditation is included, this can be as simple as counting the breath as we inhale and exhale.

One to one reformer/ Mat Pilates and Yoga sessions

​

One to one sessions are available to book with one of our experienced and highly qualified teachers. You can choose to book a session focusing on Yoga, mat based Pilates or you can use our amazing reformer, a fantastic piece of equipment that will challenge you physically and mentally, this equipment enables you to further evolve your Pilates practice. It is suitable for anyone to use, perfect for rehabilitation and athletic conditioning alike. You can book a session as a one off or as a block booking. Please contact us for more information.

Functional Yoga

This class is experience focused to allow for individual experimentation. The content has been refined from Ross' experience working with people from all age groups & activity levels. Ross' priorities are the honouring of healthy joint function and honesty.

Bbarre less 

 

SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS

​

Bbarre less is a fusion fitness class that’s based on the fundamentals of Pilates fused with dance and Yoga, performed to the beat of the music. This class is about connecting your mind to your body, so that you not only strive to move with precision but also have fun. Classic barre exercises have been adapted to be performed in the centre of the room either standing or on the mat. You will challenge the core for balance and total body proprioception. 

Each class is broken down into four blocks with two cardio fusion intervals to complete a total body workout. Each block has a unique focus and goal that incorporating strength, balance, power and flexibility movements. 


Bbarre less moves to the music, enhances your flexibility and challenges your body to move effortlessly like a dancer!
